The 4th Joint Committee Meeting for the GMS

21 to 22 November 2013

From the 21-22 of November 2013 the 4^th Joint Committee Meeting for the GMS Cross-Border Transport Agreement will be held in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The first day (21 November) is the Meeting of Senior Officials of the GMS National Transport Facilitation Committees (NTFC). On the agenda are the following:

• Reporting from Chairpersons of the GMS CBTA Subcommittees
• Finalization of the 3-Year Matrix/Action Plan on TTF Initiatives in the GMS
• Finalization of the 4^th Joint Committee Meeting of the GMS CBTA Program
• Finalization of the Joint Committee Ministerial Statement, including the 3-Year Blueprint for TTF in the GMS (2013-2015)

 Highlights of the second day (22 November) include:

• Welcome and Opening remarks by Minister of Rail Transportation, Myanmar
• Announcement and Launching of the GMS Knowledge Portal for Transport and Trade Facilitation
• Reporting on the Achievements and Challenges in TTF in the GMS (2010-2013)
• Stocktaking of Deliverables from the 3^rd Joint Committee Meeting in 2010
• Video presentation of Knocking Down Borders
• Reporting by the NTFC SOM Chairperson
• Statement by the Joint Committee Members
• Remarks by Development Partners
• Endorsement of the Joint Committee Ministerial Statement

Endorsement/Signing of Relevant MOUs and Transport Facilitation Initiatives.
