We work to make cross-border transport and trade easier and more efficient, which includes assisting in the implementation of the Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Agreement (CBTA). This flagship agreement to promote transport and trade facilitation is strongly supported by the six GMS countries: Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, the People’s Republic of China, Thailand, and Viet Nam. The CBTA focuses on the “three Cs”:

  • Greater Competitiveness, and
  • Spirit of Community
